It all began in 1972. I was ice fishing on a small pond in Weston, Mass. While watching my ice fishing Tip-Ups I notice a solitary figure coming towards me. When he reached me, he introduced himself as Henry W Longfellow. In the ensuing conversation he revealed he had been an artist who developed some unique techniques for embossing copper foil. Later that day, I visited his home and saw his copper art work. My interest was peaked he suggested that since he had retired that maybe I would be interested in continuing his copper work. I soon found myself crafting copper waste baskets, mailboxes and framed panels.
